(NEW!) Metabolic Testing and VO2 Max
Resting Metabolic Rate (RMR) testing measures how many calories your body burns at rest, helping guide sustainable weight loss, prevent plateaus, support muscle use, and optimize GLP-1 medications. Active Metabolic Rate / VO2 Max testing measures how efficiently your heart and lungs use oxygen during intense exercise. Often described as your body’s “horsepower,” VO2 Max is a strong indicator of fitness, longevity, and overall wellness.
Body Composition Analysis: InBody
Monitoring body composition provides a clearer picture of health than weight alone. It measures and quantifies body fat and muscle mass and shows the distribution of muscle mass in your body. This insight supports targeted nutrition and training decisions leading to better long-term health outcomes. WPP is pleased to provide this to our patients as an included complimentary service as part of membership.
Robust Lab Panels and Advanced Lipid Analysis
Rather than a standard blood analysis for everyone, we customize our lab testing based on an individual’s risk factors and family history. We order testing behind the standard blood panel, following a shared decision making process with each patient.
Multi-Cancer Early Detection Testing
Our practice is proud to provide access to the Galleri® test by GRAIL, with preferred pricing for our patients. Galleri is a single blood draw that can detect signals from over 50 different cancers, including many without routine screening tests. Earlier detection gives you and your care team more time to act, improving the chance for effective treatment and peace of mind.
Genetic Cancer Risk Testing
We offer genetic testing to better understand one’s hereditary cancer risk. In partnership with Myriad Genetics, we test for 63 genes to determine one’s risk for 11 different types of hereditary cancer including BRCA1 and BRCA2, as well as Colaris testing for patients with an elevated family risk for colon cancer.
Continuous Glucose Monitoring
Utilizing devices such as the Abbott Libre and the Dexcom G7, we work with our patients to help them track their blood glucose levels in real time. This is helpful for people with diabetes and prediabetes, or in some cases for others looking to track their body’s response to carbohydrate intake. For members prone to metabolic changes, this helps us identify problems early and improve glucose control and reduce cardiovascular risk.
Remote Blood Pressure Monitoring
By utilizing top of the line Bluetooth-enabled home blood pressure cuffs by Welch Allyn, our members are able to share their home blood pressure readings with our providers and nursing team. This important service, included with WPP membership, enables us to help our patients better manage blood pressure between office visits.
Full Body MRI
We offer preferred pricing on full-body MRI scans through Prenuvo. As Prenuvo describes, “Using advanced clinical imaging and high-resolution MRI, we provide comprehensive assessments that can detect subtle changes early, helping you track your health and identify potential issues before they become serious.”
Coronary Artery Calcium Scan (CAC)
Coronary calcium CT scanning is a fast, noninvasive test that measures calcified plaque in the coronary arteries. The resulting calcium score helps assess cardiovascular risk, inform prevention strategies, and tailor treatment plans. The scan takes only minutes, requires no contrast, and can reveal early signs of heart disease before symptoms develop. Members are encouraged to speak with their WPP provider to determine whether this test is appropriate for them.
Home Sleep Testing
Sleep apnea is a condition in which breathing is repeatedly interrupted during sleep. As a result of interrupted breathing, sleep itself is interrupted as the brain arouses the sleeper to resume breathing. We partner with Snap Diagnostics for testing for sleep apnea in the comfort of your own home.
